Internet Searches for Insurance Claims Skyrocketing
At FreeInsuranceQuotes.org we regularly review consumer Internet search activity for anything related to insurance. Recently, we noticed an interesting trend. Online searches for “insurance claim” have been climbing at a rapid clip since 2008, hitting a five year maximum in 2010. The data got us wondering what is behind the rapid increase in consumer searches for claims. Could it be increased hurricane activity? Doesn’t seem likely because the #1 state searching for insurance claims on a per capita basis is Oklahoma. Perhaps tornado activity? Or maybe all of the “unintended acceleration” car accidents happening the last couple years? The cause will remain a mystery for the time being.
