Is Price Most Important to Free Insurance Quote Shoppers?
Let’s face it. Whether we like it or not, most states require US drivers to have auto insurance. Fortunately, we have the right to choose the auto insurance company that we deem best. What motivates shoppers to choose one insurance company over another? Although price is essential in persuading potential buyers, it is not the most important factor when determining customer satisfaction. J.D. Power and Associates held a 2010 insurance study based on this topic. The study found that 41% of insurance shoppers are interested in switching their car insurance due to price. However, the study also shows that price only plays a 28% role in satisfaction after the purchase. Other factors, such as company offerings and customer service are also important.
As shoppers age, price becomes a bigger concern. The study shows very big differences between baby boomers and generation Y shoppers. Sixty eight percent of generation Y shoppers cite price as a reason for new insurance compared to 83% of baby boomer shoppers.
Baby boomers seem to be much more likely to shop around for the best rates, compared to younger shoppers, who more often choose the most popular or first available insurance companies. Searching the Internet for free insurance quotes will help the younger insurance shoppers get the most for their money. Young adults often use the Internet daily for work, social interests, games or news. The same should be done when purchasing auto insurance coverage. Online auto insurance quotes can help shoppers of all ages research company history, price and consumer rating, all of which are important when deciding which company best suits your needs. This helps to make the auto insurance shopping experience much easier and possibly lighter on the pockets.
